Privacy Policy
A clear explanation of the personal data Anyfor uses to operate, secure and improve its global marketplace.
1. Scope and responsibility
This Privacy Policy explains how Anyfor collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal data when you use Anyfor.com, create an account, communicate, post or perform work, make or receive payments, or contact support. It applies to Clients, Freelancers, visitors and authorised business representatives.
For the Platform’s own operations, the Anyfor operator acts as the organisation responsible for deciding how personal data is used. Users may separately act as controllers of personal data exchanged for a project; those users are responsible for their own privacy notices and lawful processing.
2. Data we collect
Information you provide
- Account and profile details, such as name, email address, phone number if provided, role, location, languages, skills, biography, photo and preferences.
- Identity, business and eligibility information used for verification, compliance, fraud prevention or account recovery.
- Listings, proposals, orders, milestones, files, portfolio items, reviews, support requests and communications sent through the Platform.
- Transaction information, including prices, invoices, tax details, payout details and payment status. Full payment credentials are generally processed by payment providers rather than stored by Anyfor.
Information collected automatically
We collect device, browser, IP address, approximate location, cookie identifiers, referral source, pages viewed, clicks, search activity, session information, error logs and security events. We may infer preferences or risk signals from this activity.
Information from others
We may receive information from payment, identity-verification, login, analytics, anti-fraud and communication providers; from another user involved in a transaction; or from lawful public and regulatory sources.
3. How we use personal data
- create and administer accounts, profiles, listings, search, recommendations, messages and transactions;
- authenticate users, verify identity or eligibility, prevent fraud and secure the Platform;
- process payments, payouts, refunds, invoices, credits and required tax or compliance records;
- provide support, resolve disputes, enforce policies and respond to legal requests;
- personalise and improve features, measure performance, troubleshoot errors and conduct research;
- send service notices and, where permitted, product or marketing communications;
- comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety and property of users, Anyfor and the public.
4. Legal bases
Depending on your location and the activity, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform a contract, comply with law, pursue legitimate interests such as marketplace safety and service improvement, protect vital interests, establish or defend legal claims, or because you have given consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
6. International transfers
Anyfor is a global marketplace. Personal data may be processed in countries different from yours, including where users and service providers operate. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions, contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms, together with technical and organisational protections.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including account operation, transaction records, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by data type, risk and legal requirement. Information may remain in protected backups for a limited period after deletion and may be retained longer where needed for legal claims, safety or enforcement.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical measures designed to protect personal data, such as access controls, encryption in transit where supported, logging, backups and provider reviews. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password, protect your devices and report suspected compromise promptly.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; opt out of certain marketing or targeted uses; and complain to a data-protection authority. You may update many details in your dashboard.
Submit other requests through the support or contact channel shown on the Platform. We may verify your identity and may retain information where an exception applies, such as legal recordkeeping, fraud prevention or the rights of another person. An authorised agent may act where local law permits and adequate authority is provided.
11. Children, AI and automated processing
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18 or the age of legal majority, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.
We may use automated tools to detect fraud or abuse, rank or recommend marketplace content, assist support and improve services. These tools may consider account, transaction, device and usage signals. Where applicable law grants rights regarding a decision based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects, you may request information or human review through support.
12. Third-party links and services
Third-party websites, payment providers, social logins, plugins and services have their own privacy practices. Review their notices before connecting or providing data. Anyfor is not responsible for a third party’s independent processing.
13. Updates and contact
We may revise this Policy as the Platform, law or our practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice for material changes where required.
For privacy questions or rights requests, use the support or contact channel shown on Anyfor.com or in your account dashboard and identify the request as “Privacy”. Do not include passwords or full payment-card information.
